Condition-based inspection on wind turbines

Insurers require a comprehensive inspection of all major components of a wind turbine at regular intervals. The central objective of the condition-based inspection is to detect initial damage at an early stage and thus prevent consequential damage. In addition, it is carried out on an ad hoc basis if damage is suspected, in the event of a change of ownership, or to secure your claims.

We carry out the inspections according to the criteria of Gothaer Versicherung ("Principles for the inspection for condition-based maintenance of wind turbines") or according to individual customer requirements.

We take care of:

  • Document review
  • Plant inspection
  • Inspection of the rotor blades
  • Vibration measurement on the powertrain
  • Gearbox inspection by means of video endoscopy
